A rescue mission is underway to save four people who became trapped by falling debris after a cliff gave way south-west of Melbourne.
Part of a cliff collapsed about 2.15pm near Southside Beach, a nude beach not far from Bells Beach, on New Year’s Eve.
Police said six people were sitting under the cliff when it collapsed, with debris falling on three people.
A man and a woman suffered non-life threatening injuries while a 28-year-old man was evacuated by helicopter.
No-one else was hurt.
