Law enforcement in Scott County, Virginia confiscated almost three pounds of methamphetamine and more than $13,000 on Tuesday while arresting a man wanted for federal charges in Tennessee.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office stated that one of its Drug Task Force officers collaborated with the United States Marshals to capture Steven Ray Eisenmenger.

As per their statement, the U.S. Marshals’ information directed them to the Stanleytown area in Scott County, where evidence of illegal substances was discovered at the location where Eisenmenger was found, prompting a search warrant for the property.

The search resulted in seizing 2.8 pounds of meth, $13,298 in cash, and numerous firearms, according to the release. Additionally, various narcotics, scales, baggies typically utilized for drug distribution, and a range of drug-related paraphernalia were confiscated.

Eisenmenger was taken to the Duffield Regional Jail and was being held without bond on numerous charges related to the firearms and drugs seized.

Participation in this operation included the United States Marshals Service Greenville Office, Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force, with members from Washington County TN Sheriff’s Office, Carter County Sheriff’s Office, Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, Church Hill Police Department, United States Forest Service, Duffield Rescue, and the Southwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force.
