'Iron Man and His Awesome Friends' debuts on Disney Jr. with Tony Hale, Jessica Mendoza

Iron Man has long been a Marvel icon, and now Disney Jr. is bringing the hero to a whole new generation with a fresh animated series, “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends.”

This preschool show follows a young Tony Stark and his superhero pals as they team up for exciting adventures, using tech, teamwork, and quick thinking to save the day.

But these heroes are still growing up! They’re children themselves, learning problem-solving skills and mastering how to work together.

Mason Blomberg voices Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd plays Riri Williams (Ironheart), and Aidyn Ahn is Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk).

The show also features other characters like Captain America, Black Panther, Vision, and Iron-Spider.

On The Red Carpet had a chance to speak with Tony Hale, who voices the show’s robotic villain, Ultron.

He shared, “You know, obviously the Marvel movies have Iron Man, but when you bring it down to kids, it’s like, ‘Hey, there’s that connection point. They’re talking like me, they’re thinking like me, and they’re superheroes.”

“It’s great for kids to have that escape, and for parents too – seeing positive messages about teamwork and cooperation.”

Tony Hale and Olympic gold medalist Jessica Mendoza voice key roles in Disney Jr.’s new animated show “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends.”

The series also features some exciting guest stars, including Olympic gold medalist and ESPN sportscaster Jessica Mendoza. She voices Dottie Doubleday, who owns a batting cage where the crew practices their swings and finds joy in baseball.

“I love that it’s owned by Dottie, this is her thing so she’s giving feedback, but, of course, there’s always some bad guys popping up,” Mendoza said.

“Her energy and positivity, I just related so well to the character, it was so much fun to be able to dive in.”

And that’s not all. John Stamos lends his voice to Tony’s father, Howard Stark.

“Iron Man and His Awesome Friends” is available now on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel, with all episodes streaming on Disney+ starting August 12.
