SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has announced vaccines will no longer be mandated for staff working in education and transport from midnight tonight.

Education chief executive Rick Persse said “the vast overwhelming majority of our staff are vaccinated” and those who aren’t will be required to work under strict conditions, including:

– Mask wearing at all times while indoors

– Undertake a daily rapid antigen test

Unvaccinated staff will not be able to work in remote Aboriginal schools and schools for students with a disability.
