Taylor Swift has once again topped the music charts, celebrating her 14th number-one single with a refreshing display of her natural beauty.

The 33-year-old music icon surprised fans by posting a series of videos and photos on Instagram, going makeup-free in honor of her hit song “Opalite” reaching the coveted number-one position.

One candid video captured Swift in the recording studio, completely bare-faced as she worked on the track.

Adding to the authenticity, her usually sleek and styled hair was left in its natural state, revealing her charmingly curly locks, much to the delight of her followers.

Fans, affectionately known as Swifties, flocked to X—formerly known as Twitter—to express their amazement at this rare glimpse of the pop star’s au naturel look.

One enthusiastic fan commented, “She has such naturally gorgeous curls and yet chooses to straighten them? Taylor, please, let those beautiful curls thrive!”

She had two singles off of her latest album reach the top of the music charts, a feat she last accomplished 12 years ago. To celebrate the success of her new single Opalite, she enjoyed champagne with her album’s producers Max Martin and Shellback

‘Taylor all natural is the cutest thing ever, I love her little curls and the softness of her little face,’ gushed another.

‘Taylor without makeup and her natural hair? Top three of my favorite things,’ said someone else.

‘I’m obsessed with her natural hair,’ announced a different user.

‘I really want Taylor to use her natural hair more, she looks sooooo beautiful, seriously,’ read a fifth post.

Since she released her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl last October, Swift is now tied for third place with Rihanna with 14 number-one singles.

The Beatles hold the record for the most number-one singles of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 list with 20, closely followed by Mariah Carey in second place with 19.

This comes after Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce’s rumored summer wedding date was revealed. 

That was promptly followed by her ex-boyfriend Matty Healy and his fiancée reportedly setting their July wedding date in the weeks right after Swift’s rumored nuptials.

In the caption of the post, Swift announced that it had been over a decade since she had two singles from the same album reach the top of the charts.

From her latest album The Life of a Showgirl, her single, The Fate of Ophelia, also topped the Billboard Global 200.

The song also became the longest-running number-one song on the US Billboard Hot 100.

After she recently released the music video for Opalite, which featured multiple A-lister cameos, her new single topped the Hot 100 and reached number two on the Global 200.

To mark the occasion, she shared a number of clips of the early stages of recording and producing the song alongside producers Max Martin and Shellback.

She also shared snippets from behind the scenes of making her Opalite music video, in which she was seen wearing a brown wig and an 80s-inspired, Jazzercise-style outfit.

The star-studded video featured Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi and Cillian Murphy after they all sat down for an episode of The Graham Norton Show last year. 

In addition to footage from early stages of writing and recording Opalite, she also shared clips from her newly released music video. In one clip, she filmed herself in the double denim look she wore for her 90s infomercial-inspired music video

Norton, the host of the comedy chat show, also took part in the filming of her 90s infomercial-inspired music video for Opalite. 

She wrapped up her celebratory Instagram post with a photo of her celebrating with her collaborative music producers and holding up champagne flutes. 

In her caption, she directly addressed her fans: ‘Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!! 

‘I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video.

‘To put this into perspective… This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago!’

The last time she had multiple songs from the same album achieve the same feat was in 2014; three singles from her fifth studio album — Shake It Off, Blank Space and Bad Blood featuring Kendrick Lamar — all topped the charts.

She continued: ‘I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms. 

‘Seriously bouncing off the walls about this!! Just wanted to say THANK YOU, might go buy a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate, iykyk.’ 

She gushed about being ‘so thankful’ to her fans as she included her self-recorded videos in the studio

In the clips, she shared a sneak peek of how she and her producers came up with the beat, the melody and the lyrics for the song

One clip showed her practicing choreography for her Opalite music video, which featured the A-list stars she was joined by on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025

She also recorded and shared clips of the music producers and a special guest in the studio with them while working on her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl

The superstar concluded with emojis of a pretzel, a cactus and a rock as she referenced imagery from her Opalite music video.

The 14-time Grammy winner previously shared the inspiration behind her latest music video in another social media post. 

Swift explained she wrote and directed the project after the inspiration ‘crash landed into my imagination’ when she appeared on Norton’s talk show alongside her fellow stars in October 2025. 

‘I remember thinking I got ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with,’ she shared as she praised the fellow talk show guests as people she has ‘admired from afar.’
