Jose Mourinho trusts Super Eagles’ manager Jose Peseiro to win the AFCON title, ahead of the final slated for tonight.

Mourinho in a recent interview disclosed that his best friend in football is Peseiro, having spent years with him.

The recently sacked Roma boss stated that he spent five years in school with Peseiro and left the same time.

Mourinho pledged support for his fellow country man to win the Africa Cup of Nations, as no Portuguese coach has ever won it.

“My best friend in football is in the finals. The Nigerian coach is my best friend. He grew up with me.

“We studied together, we went to the university the same day. We spent five years together. We left school the same time. He’s probably my best biggest friend in football.

“He has a huge opportunity to make history because never has a Portuguese won the African Cup.”

The Super Eagles’ face hosts Ivory Coast in the much anticipated final by 9:00pm Nigerian time.
