Brad Pitt Has One Hard and Fast Rule He’s Not Breaking to Do Another Movie With Tom Cruise

During the premiere of his upcoming movie “F1,” the 61-year-old actor was questioned about what it would take for him and Cruise to reunite on the big screen, considering they haven’t worked together since their 1994 thriller “Interview with the Vampire.”

“Well, I’m not going to dangle myself off airplanes or anything like that,” Pitt remarked, praising his friend. “So, when he does something more grounded.”

Joseph Kosinski, the director of Pitt’s new film, reminisced about collaborating with Cruise on “Top Gun: Maverick” and commented on how Cruise’s willingness to perform stunts is unparalleled.

“Tom [Cruise] always pushes it to the limit, but at the same time, is super capable and very skilled,” he added. “They both [Cruise and Pitt] have the natural talent for driving. But yeah, I could see Tom maybe scaring us a little bit more.”

The comments were similar to what the movie’s action-vehicle supervisor, Graham Kelly, said about working with the two men.

Despite the “Fight Club” star’s refusal to do death-defying stunts for the audience, he might want to backtrack on those comments, given how the “Mission: Impossible” star was recently awarded the Guinness World Records title, and it was for doing 16 burning parachute jumps, The Wrap reported. It all happened while filming the unbelievable plane sequence for “M: I -The Final Reckoning.”

“Tom doesn’t just play action heroes – he is an action hero,” Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, said.

“A large part of his success can be chalked up to his absolute focus on authenticity and pushing the boundaries of what a leading man can do. It’s an honor to be able to recognize his utter fearlessness with this new Guinness World Records title,” he added.

In the new behind-the-scenes video shared on YouTube from Paramount Pictures, Cruise explained, “If this is twisted while it’s burning, I’m going to be spinning and burnt. I have to kick out of the twist and then ignite in 10 seconds.”

“We’re going to be real smart. I’m not saying be risky. We don’t take risks, obviously,” he added in the clip, before he starts laughing. It was a reference to all the crazy stunts he’s done over the last eight M: I films to entertain audiences, like jumping off a building, scaling the Burj Khalifa, hanging off the side of a plane, etc.

The “Top Gun” star has proven over and over again that he understands what the audience wants and continues to show Hollywood how a movie star should act, RedState reported.

Brandon Morse wrote that:

… but he’s also making sure none of his fans or moviegoers feel alienated in any way, making all feel welcome to see the movie.

Cruise figured out what other celebrities haven’t. If you don’t comment on divisive things, and keep the focus on the movie, then people will be more apt to show up and watch it.
