Travis Kelce was seen in another heated sideline exchange with his head coach, Andy Reid, as he continued to face on-field difficulties during the game against the New York Giants.
The duo had previously clashed during the Super Bowl in Las Vegas 18 months ago and found themselves in a similar face-to-face confrontation at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night.
After another poor play, Kelce left the field and was met with Reid’s yelling; however, instead of brushing it off, Kelce responded heatedly.
In a shocking moment, the 67-year-old then crashed into Kelce before they exchanged furious words between plays in New Jersey.
This incident closely mirrored the one at Allegiant Stadium in February 2024, where Kelce’s bump caused Reid to lose his footing.
During that previous incident, Kelce had to be restrained by a teammate, but this time he managed to calm down without needing assistance from the Chiefs’ roster.

Kelce and Reid screamed at each other as the Chiefs tight end walked off the field
NBC announcer Mike Tirico noted the similarities, remarking: ‘We’ve seen them before, getting heated. You can feel the frustration from both sides of the situation.’
When the incident occurred in the first half, Kelce had just two catches for four yards – with the Chiefs having to settle for two field goals against the 0-2 New York Giants.
Things went from bad to worse shortly after when rookie Cam Skattebo scored his second NFL touchdown to level the score at 6-6, before the Chiefs managed to sneak a 9-6 lead at halftime.
Kansas City head coach Reid was interviewed by NBC as he made his way off the field to speak to his players, and he was quick to play down the incident with Kelce.
‘That’s okay, we need some juice… so that’s good!’ he said as replays of his showdown with the tight end were played to the millions of fans watching at home.
On social media, though, fans weren’t quite as positive about the remarkable incident, with one noting: ‘Man, you can feel this whole situation splitting at the seams, and it’s just a matter of time before all hell breaks loose. Kelce looks basically disinterested at this point.’
Another added: ‘This team might actually be done,’ while a third wrote: ‘KC is falling apart.’

It is not the first time Kelce and Reid have become embroiled in a furious sideline showdown

Last time, Kelce’s girlfriend – now fiancee – Taylor Swift was in the stands to watch it unfold
In the end, though, the Chiefs did get a 1 in the win column, seeing it out 22-9 to get their season back on the right track.
Kelce, meanwhile, hauled in four of seven attempted catches for 26 yards – far from the numbers he will have hoped to put up.
The Chiefs headed into New Jersey desperately hoping to turn their season around after back-to-back losses to start the campaign.
In the opener, Kelce and Co headed to Sao Paulo, where they were beaten by the Los Angeles Chargers, and then they lost to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 last weekend.
Unlike Kelce’s 2024 Super Bowl meltdown, he was not watched by Taylor Swift on Sunday night, with the pop superstar opting to skip the game amid recent safety concerns.
Swift turned up at Arrowhead behind what was believed to be a bulletproof screen last weekend, and this week she decided to skip the game entirely.
