Trump says US has 'virtually unlimited supply' of weapons

Former President Donald Trump highlighted the United States’ “virtually unlimited supply” of weaponry following recent military actions by U.S. Central Command against Iran’s military installations.

The statement came after Trump threatened imminent retaliation against Iran in response to a drone attack carried out by the Iranian regime on the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia.

In light of heightened tensions and an increase in regional hostilities, Americans were advised to evacuate 15 Middle Eastern countries this Monday. Meanwhile, U.S. forces intercepted eight drones approaching Riyadh and Al-Kharj.

Through his Truth Social platform, Trump reassured the public about the nation’s preparedness, stating, “The United States Munitions Stockpiles at medium and upper medium levels have never been better – as I was informed today, our supply of these weapons is virtually limitless.”

He further remarked, “Wars can be fought indefinitely and quite successfully using just these resources.”

Trump also mentioned that “additional high-grade weaponry” is strategically stored in allied countries, although he acknowledged that “at the highest level, our supply is strong but not yet at our desired capacity.”

Trump did not elaborate, but his missive came as analysts begin raising concerns about the number of munitions America has as the campaign continues — particularly air defense missiles.

The president said that he ‘rebuilt the military in my first term’ and slammed Joe Biden for giving too much to Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the outset of the war between Ukraine and Russia.

‘Sleepy Joe Biden spent all of his time, and our Country’s money, GIVING everything to P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!) of Ukraine – Hundreds of Billions of Dollars worth – And, while he gave so much of the super high end away (FREE!), he didn’t bother to replace it,’ he wrote.

His post came as US Central Command said it was ‘hitting Iran surgically, overwhelmingly, and unapologetically.’

They also bragged of having taken out Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ command and control facilities, as well as air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites and military airfields.

‘We will continue to take decisive action against imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime.’

It came as Trump engaged in a media blitz Monday to make his case for what he believes will be a four-week long war on Iran.

Trump promised revenge ‘soon’ after six service members were killed in Iran and the US embassy was struck by drones in Saudi Arabia.

The embassy in Riyadh on Monday was ‘struck by two UAVs [Unmanned Aerial Vehicles] that hit the roof’ and the perimeter of the consulate, the US State Department told The Wall Street Journal.

In addition, eight drones were intercepted near the cities of Riyadh and Al-Kharj, The Saudi Defense Ministry told The New York Times.

Trump told News Nation Monday night that ‘you’re going to find out soon’ what the retaliation would be for the attack, but also said he did not think boots on the ground were necessary.

‘We’re doing a lot of damage. We’re inflicting tremendous damage on them,’ he said.

Trump said that he’s getting closer to the United States’ stated objectives for the strikes, calling it ‘ahead of schedule.’

‘I know a lot, and I will absolutely know when it’s achieved. It’s getting very close, too. We’re doing a lot of damage, we’re setting them back a lot,’ he said.

The president added that ‘you’ll be finding out very soon’ who will take over running Iran.

Trump was not worried about any potential attacks on American soil or at US bases.

‘No, it’s a part of war. It’s part of war, whether people like it or not, that’s the way it is,’ he said.

Trump also hit back at Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson for expressing skepticism regarding the purpose of the war.

The SiriusXM host was speaking about American soldiers who were killed in the strikes when she said the mission did not appear to have a clear objective.

She said of the troops: ‘The guys in the and the gals who have to actually carry out this mission … why again? And put their lives on the line … for whom, again?’

When a reporter confronted him with Kelly’s comments, Trump said she ‘oughta study her history book a little bit.’

‘She was opposed to me for years when I ran the first time and nothing stopped me,’ he added.

He ultimately said that ‘MAGA is Trump — MAGA’s not the other two,’ referring to Kelly and Carson.

Trump called the battle ‘a detour that we have to take in order to keep our country safe and keep other countries safe, frankly.’

Kelly tried to put herself into Trump’s frame of mind for taking this action against the Iranian regime.

‘I do believe Trump doesn’t want to get us into another Forever War, and I believe he wouldn’t willingly submit to [a] quagmire… In his mind, he thinks he can do this.’

Trump, writing on his Truth Social website, said: 'The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better - As was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons'

She did describe the president as being ‘all over the board’ in terms of how long the battle will last, with Trump suggesting four weeks but having said he’s willing to go longer.

‘Regime change wars and taking out another country’s leader is full of danger too. I pray for the Trump family. I don’t want anything to happen to them, and we increase the risk of that with this behavior,’ she said.

The US shut down its embassy in Kuwait early Tuesday, while evacuating diplomats in Bahrain and Jordan and telling Americans to avoid the Saudi Arabian embassy following the attack.

State Department officials announced Monday that any Americans currently in the Middle East should evacuate immediately, and offered assistance to anyone who was struggling to arrange transportation out of the country.

That announcement came as a senior official told CNN’s Jim Sciutto that the US is preparing for a ‘major uptick’ in strikes on Iran over the next 24 hours, targeting the country’s missile production, drones and naval capabilities.

But already Iran has started firing back, killing six American soldiers and striking an American-allied fuel tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards now say the strait is closed and Iran will set fire on any ship which attempts to pass through.

A major oil refinery at Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, was also shuttered on Monday after being hit by a drone as motorists in the UK face warnings of potential ‘record prices at the pumps’.

Meanwhile, Qatar shot down two Iranian fighter jets after it was attacked by Tehran today and forced to shut off its gas production following a drone strike.

The Qatari defense ministry announced two Su-24 bombers were brought down, while seven missiles and five drones were also intercepted during several attacks on the Gulf state.

The US launched preemptive strikes against Iran after learning Israel was about to attack — and American troops in the region faced an imminent threat of retaliation, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Monday.

Rubio made the revelation on Capitol Hill, where he briefed a small group of congressional leaders on the joint US-Israel offensive.

‘There absolutely was an imminent threat,’ Rubio stated. ‘And the imminent threat was that we knew that if Iran was attacked, and we believed they would be attacked, that they would immediately come after us, and we were not going to sit there and absorb a blow before we responded.’

Rubio said the Department of War determined that a defensive posture following an Israeli attack would only open the US to more casualties. Five American soldiers have died so far in combat.

‘We went proactively in a defensive way to prevent them from inflicting higher damage,’ he said.

The revelation outraged both Democrats and Republicans.

Iran had already prepositioned its missiles and had them on ready alert, the secretary of state claimed.

He did not specify where the missiles were aiming or which US targets would have been within range.

‘Within an hour of the initial attack on the leadership compound, the missile forces in the south and in the north, for that matter, had already been activated to launch. In fact, those had already been pre-positioned.’

War powers resolutions – legislation aimed at reeling in the President’s authority to unilaterally order strikes – have already been drafted in both the House and Senate.

However, the GOP-controlled Congress has not passed these resolutions, despite large Democratic support and the backing of some Republicans.

Rubio said that though Congress has the right to take a war powers vote, it’s already happened ‘a bunch of times’ without success.

Even if it did pass, it would likely face legal trouble as no presidential administration – neither Republican or Democratic –  has ever said that a war powers resolution is constitutional, Rubio said.

‘We’ve complied with the law 100 percent, and we’re going to continue to comply with it.’
