The Black Women’s Expo returned for a milestone 30th year and is celebrating all of what it means to be an African-American woman.
It is a celebration and then some as the event return to McCormick place.
The three-day extravaganza is the nations’ longest running annual expo for Black women and their families.
The gathering celebrates the sisterhood among women of color while highlighting Black culture and community.
Initially called “An Expo for Today’s Black Woman,” the event, now named “B-We-Next,” was created to highlight products and services for African-American women in the Chicago region.

This year, the expo will not only bring back its signature brunch event, Bagels and Bosses, but also includes a special pavilion featuring the Men’s Den and historically Black sororities. As in previous years, the event includes hundreds of exhibitors, seminars, panel discussions, and celebrity guest speakers.
And while the expo has remained a resource for Black women, for some, it’s become more than that. It’s community.
Plans are already in the works for next year.
The event wraps up Sunday.
