A WOMAN has been charged after a three-year-old girl was mauled by a dog.
The toddler was rushed to hospital after suffering injuries to her arm during the horror daylight attack in Rainham, Kent, last Tuesday.
Kent Police confirmed that the youngster was bitten by a dog, believed to be a cockapoo, in Mierscourt Road at around 3.30pm.
The pet was seized by officers while she was taken to a London hospital to be treated for her injuries.
An investigation was launched and cops have since made an arrest.
On that same day, Tracie Inkpen, 50, from Broadview Avenue in Gillingham, faced charges for overseeing a dog that was dangerously out of control, which resulted in injury.
She has been released on bail ahead of a hearing at Medway Magistrate’s Court.
