Five people injured in a shooting near Florida A&M University have been discharged from the hospital, while six others remain hospitalized, including one patient in critical condition, Tallahassee police said Sunday morning.
The update came hours after gunfire broke out near the university’s Bragg Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. Twelve people were injured, including six children, and police said 11 of the victims suffered gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police said they will release more information as it becomes available.
Authorities said the shooting occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday near Perry and Manatee streets, close to Florida A&M’s football stadium.
