Man, 59, found dead in Queens apartment building with massive head injuries

Authorities are actively investigating the death of a 59-year-old man who was discovered with severe head injuries in an apartment complex in Far Rockaway, as confirmed by the NYPD on Saturday.

The man was found in a nine-story building situated on Nameoke Avenue, close to Redfern Avenue, around 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

A 911 call from an unidentified individual led officers to the scene, according to police reports. The identity of the caller has not been disclosed.

Upon arrival, officers observed that the victim had significant injuries to his face and head. An autopsy has been arranged to ascertain the cause of death.

The victim’s identity remains undisclosed as authorities are in the process of notifying his family.
