A teenage fugitive has been captured in New York City, linked to the stray bullet death of a 69-year-old grandmother who was accompanying a friend in Harlem, as detailed in a New York Post article.

An 18-year-old was located Thursday through a coordinated effort between Homeland Security Investigations, NYPD’s Violent Gang Task Force, and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Officials reveal that this arrest pertains to the shooting on August 27, which resulted in the death of Robin Wright, who was shot in the face near East 110th Street and Madison Avenue while out on a walk using her walker in the afternoon.

Neighbor Sonya Hampton said she held Wright in her final moments.

“I turned around to see where the bullets landed, and she was on the floor,” Hampton said.

Police noted that another suspect is still on the run. This arrest occurred just a day after five young individuals, mostly teenagers, were charged in a separate Labor Day shooting incident in the Bronx.
