Watch: Eric Swalwell's Attempt to Troll Donald Trump Goes All Kinds of Wrong

A Hilarious Observation on 'Robot Eric Swalwell' Walk Reveals Something You Can't Unsee

I’m just gonna say it. Eric Swalwell is a weird dude.

I’ve often described him as resembling a mannequin that has come to life, attempting to blend in and seem ordinary. This recent video collection only reinforces that impression for me.

Swalwell is well-known for his extreme-left views and his poorly-acted theatrics. His interviews frequently resemble a mid-level manager trying hard to appear casual and informed. The truth is, if you delve into Swalwell’s persona, you’ll find he’s mostly just bluster, possibly due to his fondness for Chinese cuisine.

That’s all the innuendo I’ll use in this article. I promise.

Something that does make Swalwell more cringe than he already is, is how he answers questions when he’s supposedly not ready.

Matt Whitlock shared a video montage of Swalwell that follows a predictable routine. He exits a room or building, staring straight ahead as if he’s simply going about his business. Then, when someone catches his attention, his head turns, quickly followed by his rigid shoulders. The whole thing seems unnatural, and the more it’s viewed, the more amusing it becomes.

It’s also incredibly obvious that this “reporter” asking Swalwell surprise questions is just a staffer, especially because in some of these clips he’s wearing a microphone.

And let’s face facts. No Democrat is this excited to answer impromptu questions from a journalist.

My favorite comment is from Town Hall columnist Derek Hunter, who posted:

marches like a weirdo with this neck locked in place looking forward without ever noticing the only other person around, as people do.”

I can’t, for the life of me, tell you why I find this so hilarious. Probably because I get bad secondhand cringe, and Swalwell just radiates it uncontrollably. It really does come off like a humanoid robot trying to seem normal.

Lately, Swalwell has been trying to do what every other leftist has been doing; villainize ICE to the point of parody. The man posted a video on X where he added the copy “Trump’s America,” and featured a female citizen being taken by ICE agents. When the man she was dating tried to intervene and explain she’s a natural-born citizen, a Republican congressman says he “doesn’t care” because “she looks like one of them,” and then said when she’s in prison in El Salvador, she’ll “have lots of company.”

This is followed by the congressman placing his hand tenderly on the woman’s head and leaning in close, then just keeps his head there unnaturally, really adding to the cringe.

It honestly looked like a skit Michael Scott from The Office would put on.

It all just kind of adds to Swalwell’s residency in the uncanny valley. There’s something off about him, and he only ever does anything to help that awkwardness around him worse.

Someone needs to update his programming or something.
