LOS ANGELES — Once the Oscars are awarded, celebrities make their way from the Dolby Theater to the renowned Governors Ball, the official after-party organized by the Academy.

This year marks the 32nd occasion that famed chef Wolfgang Puck is orchestrating the culinary experience for Hollywood’s most glamorous evening, with his son, Byron Puck, joining him in the kitchen.

The father-son duo is set to serve a lavish feast to 1,600 eager guests at Sunday’s Governors Ball, who arrive ready to indulge.

“You know, many of them haven’t eaten all day. So when they finally arrive, everyone is ravenous,” Puck explained.

According to the celebrated chef, the stars have a particular fondness for his Japanese Wagyu steak and eagerly seek out comforting classics.

“They often ask, ‘Wolfgang, where’s the mac and cheese? Where’s the chicken pot pie?’ And it’s always a hit. When I first introduced it, Barbra Streisand had three servings!” Puck shared with 6abc’s Alicia Vitarelli.

There are 84 items on the menu.

“My son, Byron, is making a pasta here, the agnolotti with artichoke and truffles,” said Puck.

After the feast, the chefs hope the stars save room for dessert!

“The apple strudel, I’d say, is an absolute must over there on the dessert section,” said Byron Puck.

And of course, each Hollywood A-lister at the Governors Ball gets a dark chocolate mini Oscar statuette.
