Aimee Lou Wood breaks silence on Walton Goggins relationship at Met Gala 2025

Aimee Lou Wood is finally talking about her relationship with Walton Goggins.

The 31-year-old actress was asked about her “The White Lotus” co-star as they both attended the Met Gala 2025 on Monday, amid rumors that the pair are feuding.

In her red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wood addressed the possibility of making a surprise appearance on Goggins’ “Saturday Night Live” episode this weekend.

“I couldn’t say… but also I’m not, I’m not doing that,” she told the interviewer.

But Wood did clarify that she’d go on “SNL” after the NBC series mocked her in its viral “The White Potus” parody last month.

“Yeah! Why not? It would be fun,” she said. “I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever.”

Wood further explained that the “SNL” drama “all got very out of control.”

“My whole thinking was, I saw that people were angry about it, and I could either say something and just have it be said, and then I won’t spiral inwardly, and feel terrible about myself,” she said.

“I thought I’d just say something really simple and balanced, and then the next minute, it was like the whole world, and then it was like, ‘Aimee Lou Wood crying in the street over SNL skit’. I wasn’t crying over the SNL skit, I was crying about something completely unrelated,” she clarified. “It all got quite out of control.”

Wood continued: “And then it was like, ‘Walton’s doing it.’ He’s going to be incredible doing ‘SNL.’ It’s the perfect thing for him to do, he’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

While speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet, Wood said that she wanted to “debrief” with Goggins, 53, at the event.

“I actually saw him two days ago. We haven’t had that much time to debrief about everything,” she shared. “So every time we see each other, there’s never time.”

“So it’l be good to see him again tonight, because we saw each other briefly a couple days ago and we were just trying to download everything and the episodes and Rick and Chelsea’s whole story now that we’ve seen it in full,” Wood added. “There’s just never enough time.”

Wood seemed to avoid Goggins on the Met Gala red carpet. But she did pose for pictures with their co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, who told Variety that he showed up to the event with the British actress.

The speculation about Wood and Goggins’ alleged feud started when fans noticed that they didn’t follow each other on Instagram after the Season 3 finale aired last month. The actors started following each other again before the Met Gala.

The pair also sparked feud rumors when they didn’t do press together to promote the HBO show or tag one another in Instagram cast photos.

Additionally, Goggins praised the “White Lotus” parody on “SNL” that made fun of Wood’s teeth in April. Goggins is set to host the show this weekend.

Goggins, for his part, was asked about his relationship with the “Sex Education” star in a recent interview with the London Times — but he refused to discuss the matter.

“I’m not gonna have that conversation,” Goggins said in the story published May 2.

“There is no conversation to be had about that,” Goggins repeated when the subject was mentioned a second time by writer Ed Potton.

“What the f–k, Ed!” he added when Potton pushed a third time. “Come on buddy. Wow.”
