During Monday’s episode of “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox News, CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz delved into the issue of fraud, highlighting that “a significant fraud network in New York involves the Chinese government,” along with suspicions that Russian and Cuban governments are similarly implicated.
Guest host Kayleigh McEnany inquired, starting around the 2:25 mark, about the extent of these fraudulent activities. She recalled a past conversation where Oz mentioned possible Cuban government involvement in fraudulent activities in Florida. McEnany noted the broader reach of this issue, with multiple foreign governments exploiting taxpayer funds. She asked Oz to elaborate on the findings.
Oz elaborated, “We have reasons to believe the Russian government is entangled in fraudulent schemes in Los Angeles. Additionally, there’s a major fraud ring in New York linked to the Chinese government. The Cuban situation you referenced was highlighted to me by Francis Suarez, the former mayor of Miami. He noted that in South Florida, the number of durable medical equipment suppliers, who deal in items like wheelchairs and canes, is double that of McDonald’s franchises. It’s evident many of these businesses are Cuban-owned, and when authorities try to pursue them, they often escape back to Cuba with the funds.”
