Ari Emanuel, the renowned WME superagent, has secured a deal to publish his memoir for a little over $2 million, according to insider information. This lucrative contract reflects the anticipation surrounding the book, which will be co-authored by J.R. Moehringer, the acclaimed ghostwriter behind Prince Harry’s memoir.
Publishing insiders are buzzing about the significant sum, which reportedly could reach as high as $2.5 million. Moehringer, known for his work with Nike founder Phil Knight and tennis legend Andre Agassi, commands a hefty fee, often exceeding $1 million per project. Emanuel, the figure who inspired the flamboyant Ari Gold from “Entourage,” promises a wealth of intriguing stories, from his formative years with his high-achieving brothers Zeke and Rahm Emanuel to his adventures founding Endeavor and representing luminaries like Donald Trump and Larry David. Details of the memoir, however, remain closely guarded.
In addition to his ventures in publishing, Emanuel is also a co-host of the video podcast “Rushmore,” broadening his influence in the media industry.
One insider said the deal was worth up to $2.5 million. Emanuel, the inspiration for over-the-top “Entourage” character Ari Gold, should have plenty of material — from growing up with successful siblings Zeke and Rahm Emanuel to his exploits as the founder of Endeavor and repping clients from Donald Trump to Larry David. But the content of the book is so far being kept under wraps.
The WME and TKO Group mogul also co-hosts the video podcast, “Rushmore.”
