Glynn County Police said Celeste Cyan Morgan and Leon Anthony Myers were found dead Monday afternoon when officers responded to an apartment for a welfare check.

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — An investigation is underway after two people were discovered dead inside a Glynn County apartment Monday afternoon during a welfare check, according to the Glynn County Police Department.
Police said officers went to the Camelia Apartments on Altama Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. During the check, they encountered what the department described as “exigent circumstances,” leading them to enter the unit, where the two people were found dead.
On Tuesday, investigators identified them as 25-year-old Celeste Cyan Morgan, who lived in the apartment, and 25-year-old Leon Anthony Myers. Both were from Brunswick.
“The deceased were previously married to each other, and the incident appears to have been domestic in nature,” the police department said. Officials added that investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to residents at Camelia Apartments or to people in the surrounding neighborhood.
Authorities have not yet released official causes of death. Autopsies are being performed.
