Bank of America exec killed by Times Square maniac was a new mom who had just returned from maternity leave

The Ivy League-educated banker fatally stabbed in Times Square was a new mother who had only recently returned from maternity leave after celebrating her baby daughter’s baptism, according to online posts.

Erin Piacenti, 32, a University of Pennsylvania graduate from Chester, New Jersey, shared a joyful photo just four days before she was killed, showing her smiling while holding her infant beside her husband, the New York Times reported.

Piacenti, who also graduated from Fordham Law School and later built a career at Bank of America, wrote that she felt grateful to have spent five months at home caring for her newborn daughter, according to the report.

Fordham Law School in the Bronx mourned her death in a statement, saying, “We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic and senseless loss of our alumna, Erin (Guiltinan) Piacenti.”

In her post, Piacenti reflected on her daughter’s recent baptism and the travels she and her husband had enjoyed after marking their second wedding anniversary, including trips to Long Beach, New Jersey, Maine and Rhode Island.

Her grandmother remembered Piacenti to the Times as a “beautiful, beautiful girl.”

The Bank of America executive was stabbed to death Monday afternoon in a random attack in Manhattan’s theater district by Pamela Cisneros, 49, a mother of three described as mentally disturbed. Cisneros also stabbed and injured another passerby before police shot her dead.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague,” Bank of America said in a statement about Piacenti, who attended Villa Walsh Academy, a private Catholic girls’ school in Morristown, New Jersey, before continuing on to an elite education and professional career.

“She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones,’’ the banking giant said.

“Erin and her husband, Frank, graduated in 2021 and have been cherished members of the Fordham Law family.
