Barack, Michelle Obama lean on A-list couple as relationship advice 'mentors'

Michelle Obama and Barack Obama aren’t navigating their marriage alone.

The couple have a pair of A-list “mentors” they turn to for “advice” — Bruce Springsteen and his wife, Patti Scialfa.

Michelle, 61, gushed about using the musician’s relationship as an example when he appeared on Wednesday’s episode of her “IMO” podcast.

“I am truly impressed with you and Patti and the remarkable work you’ve both accomplished,” the former first lady praised. “You and Patti have long been relationship mentors for Barack and me.”

“[We are] watching you guys do the work, getting advice on how to keep those lines of communication open,” she continued.

Michelle went on to praise Springsteen, 75, and his partner, 71, as “powerhouses in [their] own right … merging those lives together.”

The “Hungry Heart” singer and Scialfa, notably, have been married since 1991 and share three children.

As for Michelle and Barack, 63, the duo tied the knot in October of the following year, going on to welcome daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 24.

Despite the Obamas facing recent rumors of a split — including talk of an alleged affair between Barack and Jennifer Aniston, which the actress has publicly denied — their relationship remains strong.

The pair celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary last year.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and friend to go through life with,” Barack gushed via Instagram in October 2024.

In May, Michelle clapped back at those who believe they are on the rocks.

“Everybody would know it,” she said on her podcast. “I’m not a martyr. I would be problem solving in public.”

On the show, she often shares honest insights about their well-known relationship, revealing on Wednesday that she sometimes challenges her husband for “not doing enough” with their daughters.

Her trick, she admitted, is to sing Harry Chapin’s “Cats in the Cradle” to remind him how quickly Sasha and Malia will grow.
