California’s Representative Robert Garcia, the leading Democrat on the Oversight panel, has revealed that the committee has obtained a significant batch of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. These images reportedly include depictions of influential men, women, and various properties associated with the late financier. Garcia underscored the Democratic commitment to transparency, pledging to make all received information public.
According to Garcia, the committee received the photographs only the previous evening, and they have since reviewed approximately 25,000 out of the 95,000 images provided by Epstein’s estate. The images comprise both those sent to Epstein and those captured by him personally. Garcia described some of the photos not yet released as “incredibly disturbing.”
Addressing the media, Garcia highlighted the need for former President Donald Trump to release files that could unveil the truth and deliver justice to Epstein’s survivors. “Donald Trump is the one person with the authority to release these files to the American public, allowing the truth to be known and justice to be served,” he stressed.
Furthermore, Garcia mentioned the necessity for subpoenas to obtain emails related to the photos, alongside financial records from banks affiliated with Epstein. He assured that any images released would be carefully redacted to prevent further harm to victims, a commitment upheld since the outset.
Garcia also accused the current administration of concealing crucial information. “This cover-up must cease,” he declared. “There are women who suffered as children and are still awaiting justice. It is imperative to release the files immediately to address their plight.”
“That needs to end,” he said. “There are women who were now, who were raped when they were children, who just want justice. Let’s release the files immediately.”
