In a dramatic rescue captured on video, a mother and her daughter were pulled from an icy river by quick-thinking tourists in China. The incident unfolded at the Kansas Scenic Area in Xinjiang, where the mother dove into the frigid waters to rescue her child, according to local sources.
The strong current soon began to drag the woman downstream, prompting immediate action from nearby bystanders on February 10, 2025.
Onlookers along the riverbank quickly shed their outerwear, tossing it to the struggling girl, providing something for her to hold onto. Their efforts successfully brought her back to safety on the shore.
Meanwhile, three men on the opposite bank assisted the mother, ensuring she too was safely brought out of the water.
Thankfully, both the mother and daughter emerged from the ordeal without any injuries.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities reminded locals and tourists to stay alert around rivers, avoid walking on ice-covered areas, and supervise children closely near fast-flowing water.
