Brazen LA Trash Can Bandits Drag Huge Bins From Moving Car

In Los Angeles, it seems even the recycling bins can become targets.

Two men were allegedly filmed snatching several blue recycling bins while riding in a moving red Dodge Caliber hatchback in South Los Angeles.

The unusual curbside caper was caught on video and has since gained attention on TikTok.

Posted by TikTok user @katherine23mk, the footage reportedly shows the men pulling multiple recycling bins as the vehicle travels near Manchester Avenue and San Pedro Street.

The video has drawn more than 33,500 views.

Viewers quickly weighed in, including user lisaaddas, who commented, “Not even the trash cans are safe.”

Another TikTok user, Moni Ramirez, reacted by saying, “I don’t think they can surprise me anymore.”

A commenter named Andrew wondered why anyone would bother stealing recycling bins, then floated a theory of his own.

“They steal them because someone stole theirs. usually they’re stolen to dump construction waste,” he wrote.

The apparent theft left many wondering what exactly someone plans to do with a pile of blue recycling bins.

The video comes as residents across Los Angeles continue to grapple with rampant theft and other brazen street crimes.
