On Christmas Day, a disturbing incident unfolded in Porter, Texas, leading to the arrest of a local man. Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, was taken into custody by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, facing serious charges of aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child.
The unsettling chain of events began on December 25th around 4:50 p.m. when deputies responded to a report of a missing 15-year-old girl from the 4000 block of Conner Mills. The girl’s parents grew alarmed when she failed to return from a routine walk with her dog.
Utilizing a location-sharing app on their daughter’s phone, the girl’s father traced her whereabouts to a secluded, wooded area nearly two miles away in Harris County. It was there he made the distressing discovery: his daughter was found inside a maroon pickup truck with her pet.
Shockingly, Espinoza was also in the vehicle, partially undressed, with the young girl, according to authorities. This grim discovery prompted immediate action from law enforcement, ensuring the girl’s rescue and Espinoza’s subsequent arrest.
According to MCSO, a location-sharing app on the victim’s phone led her father to a secluded, partially wooded area nearly two miles away in Harris County, where he found her inside a maroon-colored pickup truck with her dog.
A partially nude Espinoza was also inside the truck with the young girl, officials said.
MCSO said the girl’s father helped his daughter leave the area and contacted police.
After conducting an investigation, the sheriff’s office said they found out that Espinoza had threatened the girl with a knife and abducted her from her street.
Witnesses at the scene provided a detailed description of Espinoza’s vehicle, which helped deputies find him, they added.
Anyone with information about his case is urged to call MCSO at 936-760-5876, and reference case number 25A410316, or call Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867.
