Virgin Voyages Brilliant Lady Cruise debuts in San Pedro

Brilliant Lady Cruise Makes Grand Entrance at San Pedro Port

Virgin Voyages is ready to introduce its latest marvel, the Brilliant Lady, to the West Coast, offering an exclusive adults-only experience along California’s picturesque shoreline. This exciting new addition to Richard Branson’s fleet will begin its maiden journey from the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, Los Angeles, commencing on April 7.

The Brilliant Lady’s inaugural voyage promises a five-night coastal adventure, making stops at some of the most captivating destinations along the Pacific. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore the charming city of Santa Barbara, the vibrant streets of San Diego, and the cultural richness of Ensenada, Mexico, before returning to the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles.

In the words of the cruise line, this “5-night round trip MerMaiden sails from one of the most dreamed about cities in the world – Los Angeles.” Before embarking, guests can enjoy the iconic sights of the Hollywood sign on a scenic hike or revel in the eclectic atmosphere of Venice Beach.

The journey continues south to sunny San Diego, a city that epitomizes the laid-back West Coast lifestyle, followed by a jaunt to the lively town of Ensenada. Finally, the cruise circles back to the City of Angels, wrapping up a voyage filled with breathtaking scenery and unforgettable experiences.

“View the iconic Hollywood sign on a gorgeous hike, or soak up the scene in funky Venice Beach before sailing to Santa Barbara.

“Next, head down to sunny San Diego – a city that truly embodies the essence of West Coast living, over to Ensenada, Mexico, then back up to the City of Angels.”

Passengers can book excursions including food and wine walking tours in Santa Barbara, visits to La Jolla’s Seaside Cove and Old Town San Diego, and zip-lining over canyons in Ensenada.

Prices start at $2,212 per cabin.

Virgin Voyages markets itself as a kid-free cruise line, offering an adults-only experience with poolside drinking, cabaret shows, club nights and casino-style events.

There are also themed drink events, including tequila tastings, bottomless brunch and a “Grog Walk” – a shipwide bar crawl.

The company said Brilliant Lady, the fourth ship in its fleet, marks “the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter of unforgettable adventures.”

The ship launched in September 2025, beginning its inaugural season from New York City, followed by Caribbean voyages out of Miami.

More sailings are already planned, including a Seattle-to-Alaska route later this year.

Guests can also expect menus created by Michelin-star chefs, along with high-end design and décor, according to the company.
