The Nets trade that felt inevitable for months finally happened.
On Monday, Cam Johnson was traded to the Denver Nuggets in return for Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected first-round pick in 2032, according to ESPN. This move provides Denver with another scoring talent, as Johnson’s reputation for 3-point shooting will complement Nikola Jokic, bolstering their prospects for another playoff push after their exit in the second round.
Johnson originally joined Brooklyn with Mikal Bridges when the trade for Kevin Durant occurred in 2023. As the Nets began their rebuilding phase, Johnson emerged as one of the more seasoned players on the roster.

Trade rumors swirled for most of the campaign ahead of the deadline.
