A chaotic scene unfolded at a Pennsylvania kindergarten graduation when a baby was caught in the midst of a fight between two men, as shown in a startling video.
The altercation erupted near the seating area, causing a significant commotion inside the gymnasium of Ben Franklin Elementary School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, last Thursday, according to WHP.
The confrontation involved two men: one in a yellow hoodie and the other in a white shirt. They clashed at the rear of the gym, eventually tumbling to the ground.
During the scuffle, the man in the white shirt held onto a baby while placing the other man in a headlock, leading one alarmed parent to exclaim, “Oh my God, get the baby!”
Fortunately, the baby was safely removed from the chaotic scene, but the two men continued their physical altercation.
Eventually, they were separated, though the man in the yellow hoodie needed restraint, having sustained a bloodied tongue in the melee.
A stray arm was thrown before both men were pushed out of the auditorium.
One man, described by Harrisburg cops as the “aggressor,” was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. He has not been identified.
“No further police involvement was needed,” said Captain Kyle Gautsch.
The brawl went viral – and locals and school officials were left disturbed.
“It’s terrible,” Katherine Camilli said.
“I can’t believe that happened. I don’t know why you would fight at a graduation.”
“We are extremely disappointed in the behavior displayed by adults involved in the domestic dispute incident at Ben Elementary Franklin School,” a spokesperson told PennLive.
“The Harrisburg School District does not condone such behavior, nor will it be tolerated on school property.”
Brawls at kindergarten graduation ceremonies have not been uncommon this season.
Last month, an out-of-control melee broke out at the Queen of Apostles Catholic School in Toledo, Ohio, which resulted in one woman, Jessica Anderson, being charged.
She was slapped with an assault charge after a video appeared to show her yanking another woman’s hair during the scuffle.
