Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet on Saturday referred to a statement by Charlie Kirk’s surgeon, who described it as an “absolute miracle” that the bullet which fatally wounded Kirk didn’t exit his body, as numerous individuals were positioned behind him at the time of the shooting.
“I want to address some points about Charlie’s situation concerning the absence of an exit wound. Generally, I don’t engage in online speculation of this sort, and I apologize if this seems graphic, but in this instance, the absence of an exit wound is likely another miracle worth acknowledging,” wrote Kolvet, who serves as the executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” in a detailed post on X.
Kolvet explained that he spoke with Kirk’s surgeon, who remarked that the bullet “‘without question should have passed through, which is typical for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve observed injuries from this caliber often and they routinely pierce everything. This force could have easily brought down large animals like a moose or elk.’”
The coroner found the bullet just behind Kirk’s skin, Kolvet said.
“Even in death, Charlie managed to save the lives of those around him,” Kolvet added. “Remarkable. Miraculous.”

Kirk was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while speaking to students at Utah Valley University in Orem.
His alleged assassin, 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson, is charged with murder and remains locked up in a Utah jail.
