ABC7 has obtained footage capturing federal agents active in the vicinity of 26th Street and Ridgeway, situated within the Little Village neighborhood.
Baltazar Enriquez, President of the Little Village Community Council, reported that at least one individual was taken into custody on that day.
In an aerial view from Chopper 7, Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino was spotted at a gas station near the intersection of Jackson and Harlem in the Oak Park area.

Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García commented on the situation, stating, “My office is aware of a large contingent of masked federal agents arriving in our city, once again instilling fear in our community. We will persist in opposing these actions and ensure every measure is taken to safeguard our constituents while holding federal agencies and their leaders to account.”
Larry Dominick, President of Cicero Town, confirmed the sightings of federal agents in the southern suburb region.
“We encourage all residents to remain calm, be vigilant, and understand your rights, regardless of your immigration status. No one should feel intimidated or pressured. You have the right to remain silent and the right to ask for proper identification and a signed judicial warrant before opening your door,” he said.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement: “As we said a month ago, we aren’t leaving Chicago and operations are ongoing. Operation Midway Blitz is achieving what Chicago’s sanctuary politicians have refused to do for decades: decrease crime and remove the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens who put the American people in danger.”
