In an unsettling turn of events, a Chicago special education teacher has gone missing, leaving her family in a state of distress and uncertainty as they seek any leads on her whereabouts.

Linda Brown, aged 53, was last seen on a Saturday in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, according to the local police reports. She was supposed to head to the Wicker Park area for an acupuncture session, but she never made it to her appointment, as stated in a missing person flyer circulated by the Chicago Teachers Union.

Her husband, Antwon Brown, shared with FOX32 Chicago that the couple had spent Friday night watching a movie together before retiring to bed early. By the time he awoke the following morning, Linda had already left, and her absence has since sparked a desperate search.

Antwon expressed his anguish, saying, “I’m completely devastated. I’ve exhausted every avenue I can think of. We’re talking to anyone who might have seen her and organizing searches, but I feel at a loss for what to do next.”

“I’m broke down, I don’t know what to do,” he told the station. “I’ve done everything. I’m talking to people; we got people searching for her, I’m out of options. I don’t know what to do.”

Antwon Brown said that it was out of character for his wife not to show up to the scheduled acupuncture appointment.

“I woke up at 8:45 a.m. and she was gone,” he said. “She took her purse and credit cards, but I’m thinking she was at acupuncture.”

The family called police on Sunday after multiple calls and messages to Brown went unanswered.
