CHICAGO () — A Flood Watch remains in place until Friday for Chicago’s southern suburbs and parts of northwest Indiana, where communities are still recovering from a powerful round of severe weather that produced at least six confirmed tornadoes earlier this week.
ABC7 Chicago meteorologists said another round of heavy rain was expected to develop Thursday afternoon and continue into the evening, raising concerns about flooding in areas already hit hard by storms.

A Ground Stop that had been issued at O’Hare International Airport has since been lifted.
The Flood Watch is scheduled to remain in effect through 10 a.m. Friday for DeKalb, LaSalle, Kendall, Grundy, Kankakee, northern Will, southern Will and eastern Will counties.
