Six people, including two children, were injured in a shooting early Saturday in Maryland, local officials said.
In a statement posted on X, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said officers were called around 4:40 a.m. to reports of an “unknown disturbance” in Hanover, a suburban community outside Baltimore. When patrol officers arrived, they found a large crowd breaking up and discovered a man who had been shot in the torso.
Emergency medical personnel transported the man to a nearby hospital with injuries police described as non-life-threatening.

Police said the five additional victims included a woman shot in an extremity, two boys with injuries to their lower extremities, and a man and woman who also suffered lower-extremity gunshot wounds.
Authorities confirmed all victims are being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.
“Detectives are conducting interviews with the victims to determine what occurred during this event,” the department said. “This investigation is active and further details will be released once the investigation concludes.”
It is unclear if any arrests have been made, as of Saturday afternoon.
Hanover is roughly located 15 miles south of downtown Baltimore and roughly 30 miles northeast of Washington, D.C.
