A serious accident in the Bronx on Sunday morning has left a 71-year-old woman fighting for her life after a Citi Bike-branded van hit her and another pedestrian, police reported.
The incident occurred just before 10:40 a.m. as the woman and a 64-year-old man were crossing at the intersection of Broadway and 225th Street in Marble Hill, according to the NYPD.

The driver, a 41-year-old man behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, was attempting a left turn when he struck the two pedestrians, police stated.
Emergency responders transported both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital. While the man is currently stable, the woman remains in critical condition as of Sunday evening, authorities added.
The van involved in the accident was marked with a “Citi Bike” logo, as reported by the New York Daily News.

“This incident is unacceptable. Our thoughts are with the affected parties,” a spokesperson for Lyft, the company that operates Citi Bike, told The Post. “We’re investigating this report and stand ready to assist law enforcement.”
The 41-year-old driver stayed on the scene, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues, cops said.
