The Clay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida has released an image featuring a segment of a tattoo located on the leg of a dead body discovered on May 7 in Fleming Island.

Authorities from the CCSO are actively investigating the discovery of remains, which were found by a property owner near their bulkhead along the St. Johns River, off Highway 17, at approximately 5:07 p.m. on that day.

The deceased individual appeared to have several leg tattoos, with the image showcasing what is believed to be a portion of one. Unfortunately, the rest of the tattoo was obscured due to “the state of decomposition,” according to the CCSO’s statement.

The tattoo, which appears to be circles overlapping, is embedded below.

If you recognize this tattoo and may know this person, you can submit a tip through the SaferWatch app or call 904-264-6512.
