Five people were shot on the iconic Coney Island boardwalk just before midnight Saturday.
One of the victims was clinging to life after gunfire rang out at West 29th near the western end of the Riegelmann Boardwalk in Brooklyn, police said.
The other four were expected to recover and were being treated at area hospitals, according to officials.
The ages and genders of the wounded people were not released by the NYPD.
It was unclear what led to the 11:57 p.m. shooting and no arrests had been made.
