A Los Angeles singer-songwriter, who identifies as lesbian, has faced expulsion from her gym following her protest against a man entering the women’s locker room.
The altercation took place at EoS Fitness in Los Angeles on a Sunday, when Tish Hyman confronted an individual identifying as female who entered the women’s changing area. A video of the confrontation quickly gained traction on social media.
Hyman addressed the individual, saying, “Stay out of the women’s locker room. We don’t want it!”
Hyman also shared a video of the incident on her Instagram, writing in the caption that she and other women have made several complaints to the gym staff about the man entering their locker room.
Hyman expressed her frustration, stating, “Multiple women and I have filed numerous written complaints about this man entering our locker room and harassing us, yet the gym staff has consistently failed to take action. He has repeatedly disrespected me, and my quiet reports were ignored. Today, I decided to speak up!”
Recounting her experience, she added, “As I entered the locker room today, he followed me and angrily called me a derogatory term. I was terrified and ran into the gym, shouting that there was a man in the restroom!” She continued, “Thankfully, some men at the gym intervened, and staff finally took action.”
Despite the man’s removal, Hyman’s gym membership was ultimately revoked.
