Heads Explode as Pete Hegseth Hosts an Evangelical Prayer Meeting in the Pentagon Auditorium

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Friday that the Pentagon is implementing new regulations for the press corps that covers the department. This department is tasked with protecting some of our nation’s most crucial national security and intelligence information. Meanwhile, some in the media who cover military topics are already complaining that these measures constitute an attack on the First Amendment.

The Secretary outlined immediate directives, such as assigning official escorts for journalists visiting the Pentagon. This move comes after numerous leaks have attempted to hinder President Trump’s agenda for the American public:

The actions, which are now in effect, restrict credentialed reporters from accessing most of the Department of Defense headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, without official approval and an escort.

He called the protection of classified national intelligence information and operational security “an unwavering imperative for the Department.”

As we’ve written here at RedState, leakers have been suspected in several agencies and areas in the federal government over the past few months, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the DoD, and the national intelligence community.
