Authorities are delving into the cause of an explosion that rocked a commercial building in Logan Township, New Jersey, on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to several individuals.
According to officials, four employees from Savita Naturals were inside the building at the time of the incident and are currently in critical condition following the explosion.
Eyewitnesses recounted to FOX 29 the powerful impact of the blast, noting they could feel its force from hundreds of feet away. One bystander described the harrowing scene of calling emergency services upon witnessing someone engulfed in flames as they emerged from the structure.
Firefighting teams swiftly responded to contain the blaze that erupted following the explosion. Gloucester County Emergency Management officials reported that the explosion inflicted significant damage on the facility itself, as well as an adjacent building.

Fire and hazmat units are monitoring the burn off of additional fuel product stored on-site and continue to conduct air monitoring in the community.
Authorities initially asked residents and businesses within a two-mile radius of the explosion to shelter in place “until further notice.”
