DHS: Canadian Accused in Trump, ICE Pants Attack Ordered Deported

A Canadian woman accused of assaulting a teenager during a confrontation over sweatpants bearing “Trump” and “ICE” slogans has been ordered removed from the United States.

Kaitlyn Tracey was ordered deported to Canada by an immigration judge in Texas on Tuesday, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Officials say the case stems from an incident over Fourth of July weekend on the Point Pleasant boardwalk in New Jersey, where Tracey allegedly approached a group of teenagers and struck one of the girls.

A DHS spokesperson previously told News Outlet that Tracey entered the United States on a visa in April 2024 but remained in the country after it expired on Sept. 6, 2024.

“She overstayed her visa and failed to depart,” the spokesperson said.

“She received full due process and was ordered removed on Aug. 4 by an immigration judge to her home country of Canada. ICE will return her home as soon as possible,” the spokesperson said Wednesday.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by law enforcement, Tracey is accused of slapping the victim across the face and body.

Police said the confrontation began when Tracey started yelling at the teen over what authorities described as “patriotic colored sweatpants with political wording.” Investigators said the pants included the words “Trump” and “ICE.”

Tracey reportedly took issue with the group’s “patriotic colored sweatpants with political wording,” police said.

Surveillance footage showed Tracey hitting the teen twice with an open hand, once in the face and once in the body, before fleeing the scene, investigators said.

The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department previously said officers responded to an assault report after a woman allegedly hit a juvenile.

Tracey was arrested days after the incident and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is targeting the worst of the worst,” a DHS spokesperson said. “Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. Our message is clear: if you come into our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will deport you.”
