Disney+ and Hulu are venturing into the realm of video podcast content to enrich fan-favorite series. This new collection of companion video podcasts will provide viewers with an enhanced experience by offering insights, recaps, behind-the-scenes information, and more about their beloved TV shows.

The initiative kicks off with the “‘Only Murders in the Building’ Official Podcast,” which launches alongside the fifth season premiere of the show on September 9. New episodes of the podcast will be available each week to coincide with the release of new episodes from the series.

Hosting and executive producing the podcast is Michael Cyril Creighton, known for his role as Arconia neighbor Howard Morris in “Only Murders in the Building.” He will engage in conversations with guests such as series showrunner and executive producer John Hoffman, along with prominent stars like Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Christoph Waltz, Jane Lynch, Keegan-Michael Key, and others.

Shannon Ryan, President of Direct-to-Consumer & Disney Entertainment Television Marketing, stated, “We’ve created this slate of companion video podcasts to allow our fans to connect even more closely with the series they adore. These podcasts serve as a backstage pass to their favorite shows, offering fans the chance to deepen their viewing experience, explore behind the scenes with our creators and casts, and continue engaging discussions beyond each episode in an interactive and entertaining manner.”

Podcast episodes will also be available on YouTube and will be distributed through audio channels in partnership with ABC News Audio.

Additional podcasts will be developed for popular Disney series such as “Dancing with the Stars,” “Paradise,” “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” “Tell Me Lies,” “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” and “Murdaugh: Death in the Family.”

During a conversation with On The Red Carpet, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough expressed his appreciation for the fans ahead of the September 16 premiere, saying, “A huge thank you to all the fans who have been watching for so long. Shows are ending and getting canceled all the time, but we’re still thriving. It’s all due to the loyal fans who tune in year after year for 20 straight years. So, thank you to each one of you.”

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu, Disney+ and this ABC station.
