Disney Jr. 'Sofia the First: Royal Magic' premiere breakfast event with cast appearances and themed activities

In a move that feels like it was pulled straight from a storybook, a new Disney Jr. series made its grand entrance in Los Angeles. The show is all set to capture the hearts of young audiences with its enchanting charm.

To mark its debut, Disney+ and Disney Jr. hosted a delightful event aptly named Sofia’s Enchanted Breakfast. This whimsical celebration unfolded in Los Angeles, transforming a regular morning into a magical experience for families and children.

Attendees were greeted with a fantasy-infused breakfast, featuring themed treats that brought the series’ magic to life. The event was thoughtfully designed to engage children in hands-on activities, allowing them to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of the show.

A highlight of the morning was a crown-decorating activity. This gave young guests the opportunity to craft their own royal headpieces, letting them feel like royalty for the day.

The event was further elevated by appearances from the cast of the series, including familiar faces like Ariel Winter, Kai Harris, Darcy Rose Byrnes, and Yonas Kbreab, who mingled with guests and added to the excitement.

Ariel Winter took a moment to speak with On The Red Carpet, expressing her excitement and the honor of being part of the enduring Disney princess legacy, a role that continues to inspire children around the world.

“As a little girl you look at the Disney princesses and you go “oh my gosh, that’s something I’m going to remember forever,” they imprint on you,” she said.

“And so to know that I am one of them, it’s crazy. It’s something that you always think about, it weighs on you and it’s amazing.”

Series creator Craig Gerber also joined the celebration and shared his joy at seeing the world of Sofia come to life for fans. He was especially delighted after a special royal guest made her entrance.

Sofia the First was there in-person for meet-and-greet photo moments!

“It’s really nice to work so hard on creating a character and creating a world that kids want to be in,” Gerber said.

“That energy and excitement, if you see it translated in the real world, you think to yourself, ‘Yeah, we did it.’”

The new series continues the story from Sofia the First, following Sofia as she begins her journey at Charmswell School for Royal Magic.

Fans will also spot a familiar face in the premiere, with Rapunzel making a guest appearance in the episode.

“Sofia the First: Royal Magic” premieres May 25 on Disney Jr. and streams next day on Disney+.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney+, Disney Jr. and this ABC station.
