In a startling turn of events in Ohio, both parents of three children were apprehended, with one facing charges of menacing and the other for driving under the influence.

Summer R. Davis, 32, was taken into custody after being interrogated by the Solon Police Department. Allegations had surfaced that she threatened an individual at an apartment complex on December 28, 2025. According to a police report obtained by WJW, a local Fox affiliate, Davis arrived at the station with her three children, aged 4, 5, and 12. Their father, 33-year-old Harold Jenkins, was asked to collect them, with officers supervising the children until his arrival.

Upon Jenkins’ arrival, authorities noted signs of intoxication. Shortly after he drove off with the children, officers observed him mounting a curb, prompting them to pull him over. Jenkins was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

WJW detailed that the day’s incidents originated at an apartment complex in Solon. Police reported that a 28-year-old man contacted 911, claiming his ex-girlfriend, later identified as Davis, bombarded him with calls and messages. The man ignored her attempts at contact until Davis allegedly appeared at his residence, shared with his 34-year-old brother and a 28-year-old woman, and began pounding on the door.

The woman at the residence claimed Davis threatened her with a firearm and sought a restraining order against her.

After being identified, Davis voluntarily presented herself at the Solon Police Department for questioning. She refuted the accusations of threats but was charged with menacing, a misdemeanor, and subsequently arrested. During this process, she informed officers that her children were in a vehicle parked outside the station, leading to Jenkins being summoned to pick them up.

Jenkins arrived at the station, and police said he appeared to be intoxicated. After he was pulled over for jumping the curb, police said the car smelled of alcohol and cannabis, and Jenkins’ speech was slurred. He refused a breath test at the scene.

While the three children were in the car, Jenkins told police that there were weapons in the vehicle. Police allegedly found a loaded semi-automatic rifle in the front seat where the 12-year-old was sitting and a loaded semi-automatic pistol.

Police arrested Jenkins and booked him into jail at the Solon Police Department. He was charged with improper handling of firearms in a vehicle, endangering children, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His license was immediately suspended.

WJW reported that the children are now in the custody of their grandmother.

Both Davis and Jenkins each posted 10% of their respective $2,500 bonds and were released from jail. Their next court dates were not made available.
