Dutch farmers are ferociously pushing back against government plans to reduce emissions.

Farmers in the Netherlands are protesting by blocking highways and supermarkets with farm equipment and even spraying manure over government buildings.

The government’s climate plan to reduce nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions by 50% over the next eight years will severely impact the jobs and stability of the farmers.

“The government says emissions of nitrogen oxide and ammonia, which livestock produce, must be drastically reduced close to nature areas that are part of a network of protected habitats for endangered plants and wildlife stretching across the 27-nation European Union,” ABC News reported.

Social media exploded as the farmers began protesting against the government.

One viral video shows farmers and supporters slamming police vehicles with sledgehammers and other attack methods.

Another tweet shows one farmer spraying manure onto the country’s minister for nitrogen and nature policy’s property as others try and flip a police vehicle parked outside.

Farmers formed blockades on highways across the country as well.

Dutch native and Conservative commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek advocated for the farmers. “The Dutch farmers have blocked dozens of high roads & distribution centers. Lots of supermarkets are already out of milk/eggs. We’re the second largest agricultural exporter in the world, after America. Together we feed the world. Support our farmers.” Vlaardingerbroek tweeted with a video of farmers blockading a supermarket in protest.

She suggested the mainstream media is not covering the Dutch farmers’ protest because “they want to make you believe these protests are unsuccessful and lead to nothing – when in fact the Farmers are widely supported and are one of the only groups with enough manpower to stop the 2030 agenda.”

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte pushed back against the protestors. “It is not acceptable in this country to create dangerous situations or intimidate people,” Rutte said about the protests.

On Monday, Dutch police utilized tear gas, police dogs, and even armored tanks to try and put a stop to violent protestors.
