In an effort to curb unplanned dog litters, EveryPet is broadening its reach by offering complimentary spay and neuter surgeries to dogs in select Duval County zip codes.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a bid to make pet care more affordable, EveryPet, a Jacksonville-based low-cost spay and neuter clinic, is slashing its prices even further, extending free services to a wider range of dogs across Duval County.
Through its latest initiative, aptly named “Operation Big Fix,” EveryPet has announced that its Norwood Avenue clinic will now provide free spay and neuter surgeries. This program signifies a significant expansion of their existing services.
Previously, EveryPet’s clinic offered free procedures for community cats and for pet owners on low incomes or those receiving government assistance. However, with the launch of Operation Big Fix, the scope of eligibility has widened considerably, allowing more pet owners to benefit.
This expansion has been made possible through new funding secured from Dogs Trust, a prominent dog welfare charity committed to enhancing animal well-being.
The introduction of this program follows a notably hectic year for Jacksonville’s animal shelters. In 2025, the city witnessed a surge in animal intakes, with Animal Care & Protective Services experiencing an uptick, and the Jacksonville Humane Society recording over 10,000 intakes for the first time in two decades.
“This program helps reduce financial and scheduling barriers while reducing unplanned litters and shelter intake,” according to the clinic’s website.
To participate in the program, dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations and live in one of the following zip codes:
- 32204
- 32206
- 32208
- 32210
- 32218
- 32244
- 32254
EveryPet says the program is designed to increase spay and neuter access in underserved communities.
Owners will be asked to provide proof of address with a valid government-issued ID. If a dog is not current on their rabies vaccinations, it must be given on the day of surgery at a cost to the owner.
While having the surgery done, owners can also pay for other services like microchipping, helping to increase the chances of return if they ever get lost.
To schedule an appointment, owners can call EveryPet’s phone bank at (904)-425-0005.
