2026 Bank of America Chicago 13.1 half-marathon this weekend in Douglass, Garfield, Humboldt parks | See West Side street closures

This weekend, Chicago will host the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 half-marathon, leading to several street closures in Douglass, Garfield, and Humboldt parks.

Scheduled for Sunday, the event is set to draw thousands of runners eager to tackle the course through Chicago’s West Side.

The race kicks off at 7 a.m. with a 13-mile course that begins and ends in Garfield Park, weaving through Douglass and Humboldt parks along the way.

Parking restrictions along the race route will take effect at 1 a.m. on Sunday. Streets will be closed from 5:30 to 11 a.m., but as participants move through, roads will gradually reopen to minimize disruption, as stated by Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

However, some street closures will start as early as Wednesday morning.

The specific street closures are detailed as follows:

Street closures beginning 6 a.m. Wednesday until 5 p.m. Monday

– Music Court Drive: Hamlin Boulevard to Woodward Drive

– Woodward: Madison Street to Jackson Boulevard

– Jackson: Hamlin to Central Park Avenue

6 a.m. Saturday until 5 p.m. Sunday

– Madison: Hamlin to Central Park

11 a.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday

– McCrea Drive: Schraeder Drive to end.

– Schraeder Drive: Hamlin to Washington Boulevard

2 to 11 a.m. Sunday

– Madison: Central Park to St. Louis Avenue

– Central Park: Washington to Congress Parkway

5:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sunday

– Congress Parkway: Independence Boulevard to Central Park

– Independence: Jackson to Douglas Boulevard

– Douglas: Independence to Sacramento Drive

– Sacramento: Avenue to Roosevelt Road

– Ogden: Sacramento to California Avenue (North Service road only)

– Farrar Drive: Ogden to Sacramento

5:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday

– Hamlin: Madison to Congress

– Hamlin: Madison to Maypole Avenue

– Washington: Schraeder Drive to Hamlin

5:30 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday

– Central Park: Lake Street to Franklin Boulevard

– Conservatory Drive: Lake to Franklin

– Franklin: Central Park to Sacramento

– Sacramento: Franklin to Augusta Boulevard

– Humboldt Drive: Augusta Boulevard to North Avenue

– Division Street: Humboldt Drive to Luis Munoz Drive
