“One Battle After Another,” a frontrunner in the Oscar race, has not only captured the attention of critics but also marked a significant moment for Warner Bros., which is in the midst of being acquired by Netflix. The film’s nominations span across several categories, including performances by its stellar cast—Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, and Chase Infiniti. Additionally, Anderson’s work as both screenwriter and director has been recognized. The film competes in the comedy and musicals category at the Globes.
Who’s leading in the nominations?
Hot on its heels is Joachim Trier’s “Sentimental Value,” a poignant Norwegian drama centered on a family involved in filmmaking. This Neon release has earned eight nominations, with recognition for its talented ensemble cast, including Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and available for streaming on Paramount+, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. This year’s event will be hosted by the comedian Nikki Glaser, promising an evening of entertainment and celebration.
