CHICAGO — President Donald Trump is expected to land at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Sunday morning before traveling to Medinah Country Club for the final day of the Presidents Cup.
Supporters and opponents from across the political spectrum are planning events near the golf course during his visit.
Trump is expected to arrive at about 10:30 a.m., but activity outside Medinah Country Club could begin much earlier as two groups prepare to deliver sharply different messages.
A rally welcoming the president is scheduled for 9 a.m. near Medinah Road and Lake Street. Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring American flags and signs.
Later in the morning, at 11 a.m., local Democrats plan to hold a separate demonstration. A flyer promoting the event says participants will protest the war in Iran and rising living costs.

The Secret Service has warned Presidents Cup spectators to expect enhanced screening while Trump is at Medinah. The agency has coordinated with local and state law enforcement agencies for the president’s appearance at the open-air venue, where large crowds are expected.
Trump is serving as the honorary chairman of this year’s Presidents Cup.
On the course, the United States and international teams will compete in the tournament’s final matches Sunday. Players will face off individually, with the first match set to begin shortly after 11 a.m.
The tournament gates are scheduled to open at 8 a.m., meaning fans will begin arriving before either rally gets underway. More than 150,000 visitors are expected throughout the Presidents Cup.
