A tattooed man armed with a BB gun opened fire Saturday on people gathered for the World Naked Bike Ride in Los Angeles, wounding two before police arrested him, authorities and witnesses said.
The alarming episode occurred around 11 a.m. in a parking lot near Temple and Alameda streets, where a sizable crowd had met ahead of the annual event, according to the LAPD.
Police said the suspect shot toward the group, hitting at least two individuals.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel treated the victims for injuries that officials said were not life-threatening.
